• It allows them more time to take in and understand what they were taught in class.
• It may give them the confidence to ask the teacher questions about classwork which they may not have had before.

Tutoring assists children in learning they can overcome problems and that what seemed difficult is in fact something they can do. 

Tutoring can make a huge difference to a child’s educational progress. A teacher has 20 to 30 children in a class all at different stages, all with different needs. The teacher simply cannot meet all of these needs no matter how hard he or she tries. The role of the teacher is to teach your child. The role of the tutor is to work with your child supporting them in learning the work the teacher has taught in class and assisting the child to better understand that work.
