About ME - Private Tutor in ENGLISH

I was born in Elgin and educated at Elgin Academy followed by The University of Aberdeen where I studied law. I practiced as a solicitor for many years including appearing regularly in Court. Seeking a change of direction, I realised I enjoyed English and assisting people learn so decided to train as a tutor.  I am kind and patient. I enjoy seeing people learn and giving them the motivation to do so.  

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, cycling, gardening and reading.

• An Ofqual recognised Level 5 188-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language which includes 20 hours online teaching practice. 
• An Advanced Certificate in Teaching Young Learners

• An Advanced Certificate in Teaching Business English

 I tutor with Action Tutoring.  Action Tutoring are a charity who work with Schools in England tutoring both primary and secondary pupils with a view to bettering their grades. 

I also tutor  with Conversation over Borders and  locally.
